“Soka is a Japanese term meaning to “create value.” Value creation is the capacity to find meaning, to enhance one’s own existence, and to contribute to the well-being of others under all circumstances. This ideology serves as the cornerstone of Soka's kombucha infused mocktail seltzers. Drawing inspiration from kombucha's Japanese origins, Soka aims to artistically encapsulate the essence of each carefully curated flavor, promoting holistic well-being that resonates deep within the soul."

Final LogoI aimed for a logo that exuded elegance through its calligraphic strokes, paying respectful tribute to Soka's roots while embracing a contemporary essence. After careful consideration, I arrived at a refined stencil design that complemented my inspired illustrations. Pairing the primary font with a typewriter style infused an industrial sophistication into the final overall aesthetic.

Final Seltzer Flavors MockupTo create the perfect backdrop, I opted for a soft taupe hue reminiscent of parchment. This choice not only provides a subtle elegance but also enhances the vibrancy of the carefully selected colors, allowing each flavor to shine brilliantly against the illustrations. I aimed for a minimalist packaging design, inspired by traditional Japanese ink illustrations known for their understated elegance. This approach highlights the inherent beauty found in simplicity.

In essence, this project has deepened my appreciation for the delicate interplay of simplicity and minimalism. Personally, it presented a rewarding challenge as it demanded a more artisanal touch to actualize my vision.
